English and international communication training
Our training develops the language and communication skills of professionals with international contacts. We offer a range of short intensive courses on an individual or group basis at our training centre in York. We also offer company-specific courses on client premises or residentially.
Participants can choose from a range of individual and group courses. Each course is tailored to the needs of the participants and is built on three core elements:
Professional language knowledge
Developing a command of English vocabulary and grammar to speak more fluently and confidently in a range of professional situations.
Communication skills
Increasing competence to manage key business communication situations such as presentations, meetings, negotiations, telephone calls, emails and social contacts at work. Developing a number of core communication skills such as clear speaking, effective listening, facilitating, conflict management and influencing which are important across all of these business communication situations.
Intercultural competence
Building an understanding of culture, how international business cultures differ and learning practical techniques to manage cultural diversity effectively.
