Individual super-intensive course

Participants
This course is aimed at very busy participants with clear objectives and a limited time to achieve them. The individual super-intensive course is right for those who want a very intensive one-to-one learning process focused on their own specific language and communication skills objectives.

Objectives
Programmes are totally customised to individual requirements. Your trainer will do a detailed needs analysis on Monday morning and develop a timetable of activities which meets your needs. The following three areas form the basis of our English and international communication courses at York Associates.

1. Language
Most participants want to develop their confidence and fluency in English. Your training course will create lots of opportunities for speaking and listening. There will also be a focus on increasing vocabulary and developing more accurate English with a better command of grammar and pronunciation.

2. Professional communication
You can select from a menu of professional communication areas depending on the relative importance in your current or future job. This menu includes

presentations
meetings
negotiations
telephone calls
writing emails and reports
socialising

You can also decide to develop core communication skills such as clear speaking, effective listening, facilitating, conflict management and influencing which are important across all of these business communication situations.

3. Intercultural
Many professionals want to develop a greater understanding of the role which culture has in the international business world. Our internationally experienced trainers can support you to develop both cultural knowledge and the intercultural skills important for your role.

Timetable
This course is 35 hours per week with the working day structured from 0800 to 17.00 as follows:

	Lunch (with trainer)
3	13.45 – 15.15 (including one hour self study)

4	15.30 – 17.00
	Evening (optional homework / social activity)

Evening activities
At least two events will be arranged including, for example, an evening dinner, a sports activity, theatre, live music, countryside tour etc. The evening activities are optional and you are free to have dinner with your host family each evening if you wish.
