Bob Dignen

Bob was born in Bahrain in 1963. He studied English and Literary Theory at Leicester University, obtaining a BA and MA. In 1990 he entered teaching and spent one year in Eastern Germany teaching business English within a government re-development programme for this region. Since then he has travelled widely - to France, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Portugal, Russia and Ukraine - providing tailored language training to a wide range of professional and technical personnel.

In 1994 he began working for York Associates as a freelancer, joining as a partner in 2000. His responsibilities are focused on developing business in the Scandinavian region. Increasingly, he is specialising in offering intercultural training courses and delivers a number of International Project Management seminars in Germany each year. He is a member of the Team Management Systems network and also an accredited consultant for The International Profiler.

Bob is also the author of a number of titles in the Down to Business Minimax series, a reference guide for learners of professional English. He also contributes articles on business communication to specialist publications on a regular basis. Recently he has been writing to produce a blended learning concept which involves providing an electronic version of seven Minimax titles.

When not teaching, he enjoys spending time with Sue, his partner, and their four cats and dog. He is also struggling to improve an appalling golf handicap.
