Jeremy was born in 1953 in Alexandria, Egypt. He studied English and History at the University of Keele and later Applied Linguistics at the University of Essex. Early in his career he spent 2 years working as an in-company teacher for a German coal mining company.
He is one of the founding partners of York Associates which started in 1980. He specialises in intercultural training, delivering seminars on managing international teams and international project communication. He is a member of the Team Management Systems network and also an accredited consultant for The International Profiler. He works with our international clients throughout Europe.
Jeremy is also the author of a number of titles on Business Communication, including the Business Skills series for Oxford University Press and Business across Cultures for Falcon Press. Recently he has been working on our DPI project developing an approach and materials for intercultural learning.He is married with two daughters (27 and 25 years old). He lives outside York in the village of Sutton-on-the-Forest and his interests include golf, which he plays badly with ex-partner Derek Utley, art, travel, cinema and modern fiction.
