This programme will enable you to:
- understand key principles and practice of effective international team working and communication
- know your own preferred team working style and develop understanding of other team members' working styles and motivations
- communicate more effectively within international teams to develop synergies faster and manage conflicts more effectively
- have the necessary facilitation skills to maximise the performance of an international team
- develop your own intercultural competencies for working internationally
Who should attend?
This programme is aimed at those who want to improve the skills they need for working in international teams. It is designed for both leaders of and participants in international teams.
English at CEF B2 level is required to attend this programme. Any client in doubt should arrange a pre-course telephone interview to assess present level.
Programme
Programmes will be customised to individual requirements with the following as the core content:
Day 1
Success factors for international teams
Understanding the business and cultural context of your team
Intercultural competence: understanding self and others
International communication skills: clear speaking, effective listening and rapport building in the kick-off phase for a new team
Day 2
Goals and roles: profiling personal team responsibilities
High performing teams: understanding team tasks using TMS
Work preferences: profiling team members’ motivations and working styles
International communication skills: influencing and managing conflict in international teams
Day 3
Leading international teams: coaching across cultures
Case study: success factors for international projects
International communication skills: feedback – understanding personal strengths and development points for working in international teams
Creating a personal action plan
The working day is from 09.00 to 17.00, Monday to Friday
