What is the objective?
We aim to increase and support high performance when working internationally. Our coaching is a targeted process which helps individuals and teams identify key competencies and behaviours which make the difference when working internationally.
Who is it for?
International coaching is aimed at individuals and teams who need to build the skills they need to work in challenging international contexts. Typical candidates for international coaching are:
- expatriates taking up a new responsibility in a country they don’t know
- professionals starting up or joining an international (project) team
- leaders with responsibility for handling operations across national boundaries
- managers and team members operating in multicultural workplaces
- support staff coordinating and communicating across cultures
- specialists participating in or leading international associations or committees
What are the benefits?
International coaching has the potential to offer significant benefits:
- International leaders are able to develop the right strategies to achieve sustainable results across multinational organisations.
- Cultural diversity can be managed effectively to minimise the occurrence of wasteful conflicts.
- Organisations can build on diversity to foster and retain a range of talents.
- Individuals are able to grow with greater self-insight.
- Trust can develop with international partners through sensitivity to the values of others.
Our competence |
We understand the challenges which individuals and organisations face as a result of our 27 years’ experience of supporting international leaders and teams. |
Our approach |
We develop a process in cooperation with our clients which is both personal and professional. We help people to make new choices which make a difference internationally. |
How do we do it?
We use a four-step process to build competence and change behaviour.
Step 1 - Establish the focus
Identify realistic and relevant development objectives.
Step 2 - Explore options
Understand the current context and identify possible solutions.
Step 3 - Remove obstacles
Analyse obstacles which stand in the way and establish strategies to remove them.
Step 4 – Plan actions
Agree actions with milestones so that progress can be monitored.
Our coaching consists of face-to-face and telephone sessions over an agreed period. And both our training and our coaching can be supported by a range of relevant psychometric tools which facilitate the development of international effectiveness.
