This three-day programme supports consultants who wish to develop their language and intercultural skills to deliver international seminars and workshops in English.
This programme will enable you to:
- develop the necessary confidence to deliver training seminars and workshops in English
- explain key models and concepts in English more accurately and fluently
- lead coaching dialogues and give more effective feedback in English
- understand the role of culture in international training and consulting
- adapt your training and consulting style to the international cultural context more effectively
- develop more international seminar content
- get personal feedback on your own strengths and development points for training and consulting internationally
- create a personal action plan to develop intercultural competence
Programme
Programmes will be customised to individual requirements. However, the following three core areas will be covered to support your ability to deliver international seminars in English:
1. Training and consulting in English
- developing confidence and fluency to deliver seminar content and give effective feedback
- building a command of specialist vocabulary to present seminar content
- improving accuracy of spoken English to communicate key seminar messages more precisely
2. Developing an international training style
- understanding dynamics in international groups
- developing a range of communication styles for different international groups
- personal profiling: understanding your own international training style
3. Intercultural competence
- mapping key dimensions of difference across national and corporate cultures
- understanding intercultural competence
- enriching your core seminar material with insights from intercultural theory
We would recommend that participants complete The International Profiler before their training as a basis for developing an understanding of culture and intercultural competence.
The working day is from 09.00 to 17.00 on any three consecutive days of a working week.
