Our training is aimed at developing English language skills and communication skills for professionals with international contacts. We offer a range of short intensive courses on an individual or group basis at our training centre in York. We also offer company-specific courses on client premises or residentially.
Participants can choose from a range of individual and group courses. Each course is tailored to the needs of the participants and is built on three core elements.
Professional language knowledge
Developing a command of vocabulary and grammar to speak more fluently and confidently in a range of professional situations.
Communication skills
Developing competence in clear speaking and effective listening. Transferring these underlying skills in order to make effective presentations, participate in and run meetings, take part in negotiations, make telephone calls, write emails and reports, and handle social contacts at work.
Introduction to culture
Building an understanding of what culture is, how international business cultures differ and learning practical techniques to manage intercultural diversity effectively.
